I’m posting this in response to this week’s Weekly Photo Challenge: Horizon. It’s my first time taking part, so wish me luck!

Horizons are better perceived in the dark and with a bit of perspective. Be it the line that separates the sky from the earth, or the imaginary space where all aspirations are stored, one needs to get away to discern it. In the case of the questions about the mystical land that is the aspirational horizon, we often find the sun blinding us and too many lanterns trying to shed additional light. Just like in this picture, turning some lights off and watching from above may be the best.
